Our Service Levels

KR Catering offers a variety of service levels to meet your needs and desires.  We provide the service to fit any occasion and budget.  It takes a motivated and well-trained staff to create an enjoyable experience for all.  Drawing on professional staff and local culinary talent, Ken is dedicated to providing the best overall service for your event.

Each event has its own special considerations and we work with you to assure that the appropriate level of service is made available to you.  Keep in mind that these are guidelines for your consideration and that we are more than happy to make any accommodations that you wish.  We can add, subtract or modify, as needed.  It’s your event, so let’s work together to make it exactly what you want.

The four general levels of service are:

Formal Service:  The most comprehensive and formal service we provide.  Tables are preset with a full, formal place setting.  Appetizers, salads, entrees and desserts are plated and served by our wait staff.  Attentive service is our priority, down to every detail to ensure your event is a success.  Our formal service provides one server for every sixteen guests.

Buffet Service:  Your selection of items is presented on a buffet line.  Our staff will coordinate the release, by table, to ensure an orderly pass through the buffet.  Servers will clear used settings and be sure that beverages are replenished throughout the service.  Dessert may be formally served if desired.  Our buffet service provides one server for every twenty-four guests.

Delivered with Service:  Food is prepared offsite, delivered, set-up and presented for serving.  We provide chafing-dishes, platters and serving bowls, including all needed serving utensils.  Following the service, the tables will be cleared and service items will be removed.  Our drop-off with service provides one server for every forty guests.

Drop Off/Pick-Up:  For a simple, casual way to entertain, we recommend food that is prepared for drop-off.  Ready-to-eat, your chosen food is presented in chafing-dishes, bowls, and platters, as needed, including all the necessary serving utensils.  It is self-serve.  Our delivery person will return at a prearranged time to collect our equipment and remove it from the premises.


In short, KR Catering offers you any level of service you may wish.  From fine china to disposable plates, we can provide for all of your serving needs.  Please note that any paper and plastic we provide is classified as “45-day biodegradable” and we remove and properly recycle it.  Meeting your needs and your expectations is a matter of pride for us and we look forward to working with you.
